On the morning of October 29, the leader of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the landslide situation on D'ran Pass on National Highway 20 through Cau Treo area (Xuan Truong Commune - Da Lat) is continuing and becoming increasingly complicated.

After checking and assessing the scene of landslides and subsidence, the authorities have blocked off the scene and temporarily suspended traffic in both directions.
The traffic police force of Lam Dong Police is coordinating with forces in Xuan Truong - Da Lat commune to organize regulation, traffic flow and instruct drivers to turn around to ensure safety.
Along with the landslide, the road surface through Cau Treo area is showing signs of subsidence, cracking on the negative slope and gradually eating deep into the road surface.

Currently, the landslides and subsidence on D'ran Pass are complicated, so the forces have not been able to deploy remedial measures.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper: Last night, October 28, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, at around 8:00 p.m. the same day, rocks and soil from the positive slope suddenly slid down the surface of D'ran Pass, obstructing traffic.
In addition, the authorities also discovered a cracked road surface near Cau Treo, at risk of subsidence.
That same night, the authorities of Xuan Truong - Da Lat ward coordinated with D'ran commune and the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police to block off and handle the scene.
To ensure safety, vehicles are instructed to move along other routes.
The incident caused vehicles entering and exiting Da Lat City to have to take a detour of more than 20 km, following National Highway 20 in the direction of Lien Khuong - Prenn Expressway to Phi Nom intersection, turning into National Highway 27 to D'ran.
National Highway 20 is 264 km long, starting from Dau Giay intersection, Dong Nai province through Bao Loc Pass to Da Lat and then D'ran Pass.
In particular, D'ran Pass is about 10km long, located on National Highway 20, with many dangerous curves.
This is the route connecting Da Lat urban area (Lam Dong) with Song Pha Pass on National Highway 27, forming the Da Lat - Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) traffic route.
