As noted by Labor on the morning of August 23, the barrier erected at the entrance area of the Me Tri overpass (Nam Tu Liem district) causing congestion has been dismantled by the construction unit, the road surface has been restored, ensuring traffic circulation. information of the people.
According to research, the fence was erected in this area nearly a week ago to serve the project "Construction of a 220 kV line from the 500/220 kV Transformer Station West of Hanoi to the 220 kV Transformer Station Thanh Xuan ".
The two fence sections are about 100 m long, about 2 m high, the fence width is 6-7 m, the remaining road for vehicles is only about 10 m.
The vehicles followed each other very slowly, sometimes having to stop completely. During rush hour, adults and children are tired of traffic jams.
The Thang Long Avenue frontage road towards the city center has a very large number of vehicles passing through, so the barrier creates a "bottleneck", causing local congestion .
Mr. Le Quang Nam (residing in An Khanh, Hoai Duc) said that the barricades have been erected for nearly a week now. A lot of construction materials and construction vehicles are scattered on the road and on the sidewalk, both unsightly and unsafe for traffic.
"Since yesterday, the barrier was dismantled, people's travel has become convenient" - Mr. Nam said.
Regarding the barrier causing congestion on the Thang Long Avenue frontage road, the Hanoi Power Development Project Management Board said it coordinated with contractors to inspect the site.
Currently, the construction unit is constructing cable trenches at Thang Long Avenue frontage road from km 5+280 to km5+300 and from km5+500-km5+550 in Nam Tu Liem district.
However, at the time of construction, the weather in the area had a lot of rain, so the road surface restoration progress was affected.
At the same time, this area is the intersection of Quang Tien Street and Thang Long Avenue frontage road, with many vehicles participating in traffic, so the barrier for construction has affected traffic in the area.
Accordingly, the Hanoi Electricity Development Project Management Board requested and right on the night of August 21, the contractor increased construction machinery and human resources to restore the ground in the above area to ensure smooth traffic. There is still congestion, and at the same time arrange human resources at the scene to guide traffic, sprinkle water to prevent dust (if any) to ensure environmental hygiene.
This agency also requires the contractor to learn from experience and have an appropriate construction plan to minimize traffic impacts in the construction area, promptly return the road surface, and ensure safety and environmental sanitation. for the remaining sections of the route to avoid repeating the same phenomenon.
