HCMC - The project to build Ba Ca road and bridge connecting Tam Binh ward and Hiep Binh Phuoc ward (Thu Duc city) has a total capital of more than 232 billion VND.

On February 3, the Thu Duc City Construction Investment Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ba Ca road and bridge project.

The Ba Ca road and bridge project was approved in 2016 but could not be implemented due to many obstacles. In September 2024, Thu Duc City decided to adjust the project, creating conditions for construction to begin.

The project is expected to be completed in early 2026, helping to improve traffic connections at the Go Dua intersection area, reducing pressure on neighboring roads.

The project has a total route length of about 1.12 km, with a road surface width of 13 m. The starting point of the route intersects with Road No. 10 (now Road No. 11, Tam Binh Ward), the end point intersects with National Highway 13 (Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward).

The project includes the construction of a new reinforced concrete bridge about 25 m long and 13 m wide across the Go Dua canal, replacing the old narrow bridge on Highway 12.

In addition, about 203 m of new road will be built and 892 m of old road will be renovated to urban road standards, with a cross-section of 13 m and sidewalks on both sides.

In addition, the project also includes the construction and renovation of drainage systems, lighting systems, trees, traffic organization and other technical infrastructure to complete the synchronous area.

The project has a total investment of over VND232 billion, of which construction costs are over VND70 billion. The majority of the budget of over VND141 billion is used for site clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure. The remaining amount is for contingency costs and project management.
