The Vietnamese golf team decided to register Doan Uy to attend the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival. Previously, player Nguyen Anh Minh was calculated to participate in this arena, however, after reviewing the competition programs, the coaching staff of the Vietnam Golf Team chose Doan Uy to replace him.
The official list of the Vietnam Golf Team competing in the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival includes Doan Uy, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Ho Anh Huy, Le Chuc An, Le Nguyen Minh Anh, Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh.
Among them, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Le Chuc An are the two golfers who won the national championship in 2025. They will participate in the World Amateur Team Championships 2025 (WATC 2025) in Singapore, then go to Bahrain to participate in the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival.
In history, Vietnamese golfers have never won medals at the Asian Youth Sports Festival. We aim to improve our performance in this year's competition. On the world amateur golf rankings, Nguyen Tuan Anh is currently ranked 172nd in the men's event while Le Chuc An is ranked 219th in the women's event in the world.
Golf player Doan Uy won 3rd place at the 2024 National Championship. Last September, Doan Uy participated in the Bluejay Invitational tournament (USA) and was ranked 9th in the men's group.
