The Arnold Palmer Cup 2026 student team sparring golf tournament ended the final round with 12 individual matches – Singles in the early morning of July 6th Vietnam time.
The matches took place at Tralee Golf Links (County Kerry, Ireland).
In his final individual match, Nguyen Anh Minh competed against Cayden Pope of the US Student Team.
Mr. Minh and Cayden Pope focused on minimizing errors to find opportunities to overtake the opponent. In this match, the Vietnamese golfer showed good bravery to beat the opponent with a score of 5&3.
With Anh Minh's victory, the remaining teammates in the International Student Golf Team won a total score of 30.5. The US Student Golf Team had a total score of 29.5.
In the end, Nguyen Anh Minh and the International Student Golf Team won against the American Student Golf Team in this year's tournament.
Throughout the tournament, the Organizing Committee witnessed 24 golfers (12 men, 12 women) of each team competing with highly professional matches.
Through 3 rounds, the 2 teams competed in rounds including Fourballs mixed men and women, Foursomes, Foursomes mixed men and women and Singles.
Arnold Palmer Cup 2026 is the 30th time the competition has taken place.
This is the first time Anh Minh has participated as a golfer of the International Student Golf Team.
After 30 competitions, the US Student Golf Team leads the results against the international team with a result of 15 wins, 14 losses, 1 draw.
