A milestone for Vietnamese golf was set when for the first time a golfer entered the top 30 male amateur golfers in the world.
In the world men's amateur golf rankings just announced, Nguyen Anh Minh increased 10 places, to 29th. Anh Minh has become the first Vietnamese golfer to maintain the above ranking.
The most recent tournament that Anh Minh participated in was NCAA Corvallis Regional 2026 (May 2026) for golf teams of universities in the US.
Mr. Minh competed in the golf team jersey of Oregon State University and had a total score of -3, ranking 18 individuals.
Currently, the Vietnamese golf team has selected Nguyen Anh Minh into the list of candidates preparing for ASIAD 20. In the near future, the coaching staff will select the final force to register to go to Japan to compete in September.
Most recently, the golf team of Arizona State University announced that Nguyen Anh Minh is officially in the squad from the 2026-2027 season of the NCAA - US student professional sports.
This change is assessed to bring a positive spiritual effect to Nguyen Anh Minh as well as create momentum to help Vietnamese golfers have the best opportunity to develop their expertise.
The Arizona State University Golf Team is one of the prestigious teams in the US as well as has introduced many promising golfers to become names in the world of golf.
Nguyen Anh Minh was awarded the All-America Freshman title by the US Golf Coaches Association - GCAA.
