Nguyen Anh Minh and his teammates finished the Amer Ari Invitational 2026 golf tournament held in Hawaii (USA) in the early morning of February 8 (Vietnam time).
At the end of the last round, Nguyen Anh Minh achieved -5 points with a total of 67 strokes. Previously, in the first and second rounds, Nguyen Anh Minh had scores of -4 and -8 respectively. Thus, after 3 rounds of competition, Nguyen Anh Minh personally achieved a total score of -17.
In the end, Nguyen Anh Minh was ranked T5 individual male in the tournament. This is the first time Anh Minh has participated in a golf tournament under the University's competition program in the US and is ranked in the top 5 best players. Individual first is golfer Jackson Koivun of Auburn University (USA) with a total score of -25.
Nguyen Anh Minh himself set a personal record when he achieved a score of -17 through tournaments he competed in at various levels in the US.
Nguyen Anh Minh's achievement contributed to the overall results of Oregon University when he ranked 8th overall with a total score of -43.
Nguyen Anh Minh is a first-year student at Oregon University. This is the first time Nguyen Anh Minh has competed in a university-level golf program in the US. Last year, Anh Minh participated in SEA Games 33 and won the individual runner-up title and a team bronze medal.
At Oregon University, Nguyen Anh Minh is facilitated to study and practice golf competitions. The male player is the only Vietnamese student to participate in the school's golf team so far.
