Golf teams from universities in the West Coast (USA) have introduced new faces in the 2026 season squad. The Oregon University Golf Team has introduced Nguyen Anh Minh to their squad.
Mr. Minh went to the US to enroll at Oregon University last year. However, this golfer ensures learning culture while practicing professional competition with golf. Therefore, the Vietnamese golf team awarded this golfer a slot to participate in SEA Games 33 in Thailand in December 2025.
In the above Congress, Anh Minh won a silver individual medal and a bronze team medal.
The Oregon University golf team currently has 7 golfers, all of whom are students of the school. Among them, Nguyen Anh Minh is the only Vietnamese student in the team.
According to the 2026 competition program, Anh Minh will participate in the Amer Ari Invitational 2026 tournament in Hawaii (USA) with his teammates from February 5 to 7.
On the world men's amateur golf rankings just announced, Nguyen Anh Minh dropped 2 places, down to 48th place. The most recent international tournament that this golfer participated in was the Jones Cup Invitational 2026 in the US. Anh Minh only ranked T35 at the end of the tournament.
According to experts, Anh Minh has many opportunities to develop his expertise to move towards a professional golf career in the future. Therefore, this player is focusing on preparing his expertise very methodically when studying in the US.
