The world junior women's golf rankings have just announced new positions, in which Le Chuc An of Vietnam increased 19 places to maintain 166th place. This is also the best ranking on the junior golf rankings that a Vietnamese female athlete has achieved.
Le Chuc An accumulated positive points because she just won the Trang An International Youth Golf Tournament - AJGA International Pathway Series 2026 held in Ninh Binh. In this tournament, she won the women's group with a total score of -12. This is an international tournament belonging to the US Youth Golf Association system, which for the first time chose Vietnam as the venue.
Also on the World Amateur Women's Golf Rankings, the Vietnamese athlete ranked right after Le Chuc An is Nguyen Viet Gia Han, 534th position.
According to the competition program, Le Chuc An will go to New Zealand to participate in the Asian-Pacific Amateur Women's Championship 2026 (WAAP 2026) from February 12 to February 15.
The golf champion has the opportunity to be invited to participate in 3 prestigious major tournaments including AIG Women's Open, Amundi Evian Championship and Chevron Championship. In addition, the champion can participate in other important international tournaments such as Augusta National Amateur and Women's Amateur Championship.
Last year, Le Chuc An marked an important achievement for his career when he won a bronze medal at SEA Games 33 in Thailand. For the first time, Vietnamese golf had a female athlete win a medal at the Southeast Asian Games.
