According to information officially released by WAGR for golfers to grasp, ranking will be implemented according to the new scoring method.
WAGR applied the adjustment announced from week 1 of 2026. In which, the change to address concerns about the power point (Power) of events.
Only golfers who start and achieve a certain score standard compared to the par of the court will be counted in the Power of the tournament. Golfers who compete below the standard, retire or be disqualified will no longer affect the Power.
Along with that, WAGR also applies adjustments announced from week 1 of 2025 related to the allocation of points for tournaments with Power below 50. This adjustment content is applied to the entire 104-week scoring cycle.
The changed WAGR ensures that Power power points will reflect the performance of golfers participating fully and meet the expected level of competition in tournaments. The ranking determined by golfers before 2026 will not be amended.
On the latest world amateur golf rankings, the highest position for Vietnamese female golfers is Le Chuc An (ranked 176th). Nguyen Anh Minh is the Vietnamese male golfer with the best position at this time: ranked 40th in the world.
