The 2026 Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship – Nomura Cup 2026 officially kicks off at Bayhood International Golf Club No. 9 in Beijing (China).
21 golf teams participated in this tournament. The Vietnamese golf team has 3 players competing including Nguyen Tuan Anh, Ho Anh Huy, Nguyen Van Hoa.
We won the Nomura Cup championship in 2024.
Therefore, the Vietnamese golf team competes in this year's tournament as the defending champion.
The goal of the whole team is to strive to protect their number 1 position.
The first round of the Nomura Cup 2026 takes place on September 1. After 18 holes, golfer Nguyen Tuan Anh achieved an Even Par score of 72.
Ho Anh Huy completed round 1 with 73 strokes and scored +1. Golfer Nguyen Van Hoa scored +13 after reaching 85 strokes.
With the above results, the Vietnamese golf team has a total score of +1, temporarily holding T4. We have the same score and ranking as the host team China.
In the overall standings, the Hong Kong (China) golf team temporarily leads with -4 points, while the Japanese and Philippine teams both achieved -2 points, temporarily holding T2 ranking.
The tournament lasts until September 4 and team points will be calculated based on the total achievements of 3 golfers competing in the team.
In the temporary personal ranking, Nguyen Tuan Anh is in the best position compared to his teammates, ranked T7.
