Turn" the movement into concrete action
It can be seen that one of the highlights in the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city is the ability to "turn" patriotic emulation movements into specific actions, closely linked to people's lives. Instead of being widespread, the campaigns are designed in a practical, easy-to-participate and measurable direction.
Typically, in the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, in 2025 alone, the Fatherland Front and member organizations mobilized more than 121 billion VND, millions of square meters of land and hundreds of thousands of working days.
These figures not only reflect the scale but also show a very high level of social consensus. People not only contribute money but also directly participate in infrastructure construction, from roads, schools to irrigation works.
Notably, movements are not separate from economic development goals. Bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas, associated with the "One Commune One Product" program, or labor productivity improvement models at enterprises and cooperatives... have helped patriotic emulation no longer be an abstract concept but become a part of production and business activities.
Social security programs continue to be a bright spot with the "For the Poor" Fund mobilizing 385 billion VND, thereby supporting the new construction and repair of thousands of houses, helping thousands of poor households access livelihoods, healthcare and education.
Figures such as 6,200 new houses, and more than 21,800 cases of learning support are not only the results of a program, but also proof of the effectiveness of the "people-centered" approach.
Not stopping there, the movement to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses or models to ensure security and order with nearly 1,000 effective operating models has contributed to creating a stable and safe living environment.
Towards substantial efficiency
A noteworthy point is that patriotic emulation movements in Da Nang are not only stopping at the mobilization stage but are increasingly going deeper, associated with political tasks and practical requirements of each locality.
In the first quarter of 2026, the role of the Front continued to be clearly affirmed when it both performed well in social security work and effectively participated in major tasks such as organizing the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels. From consultation, introducing candidates to organizing voter contacts, everything was implemented democratically and in accordance with regulations, contributing to improving the quality of representatives of the elected apparatus.
Speaking to direct at the quarterly meeting in the first quarter and deployment of tasks in the second quarter of 2026 recently, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Tri Thanh emphasized: in the past time, the Front at all levels has done a good job of taking care of Tet for the people, especially in areas affected by natural disasters and storms; and at the same time coordinated to successfully organize elections and effectively implement many important political tasks.
Notably, Mr. Le Tri Thanh affirmed that the orientation in the coming time is that the Front at all levels needs to "continue to promote the creative spirit of the people, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements", and at the same time promote supervision, social criticism and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people.
This message shows that the patriotic emulation movement in Da Nang is aiming to be a tool to improve the quality of social governance. When people participate more in monitoring and criticism activities, the government also operates more transparently and effectively.
Reality in Da Nang shows that innovation in content and methods has helped emulation movements overcome formalism and become a driving force for development.
From taking care of Tet with tens of thousands of gifts, supporting tens of billions of VND for people affected by natural disasters, to completing 100% of the troop assignment target..., all bear the imprint of close coordination between the Front and the government and member organizations.
In the context of setting many new requirements, continuing to promote the people's strength through patriotic emulation movements, as directed by the city's Fatherland Front leaders, will be the key for Da Nang to maintain its development momentum and build a consensus-based and sustainable society.
