On November 29, the People's Committee of Nghe An province announced that in 2024 (as of November 20, 2024), the province had newly established 1,948 enterprises (an increase of 3.89%) with a total registered capital of VND 20,483 billion. To date, there are more than 39,000 registered enterprises in the province, of which more than 16,000 are operating.
However, due to economic difficulties, the number of dissolved and inactive businesses has increased compared to 2023.
In 2024, the whole province had 302 enterprises voluntarily dissolved, an increase of 35.29%; 1,483 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of 8.6%; 715 enterprises resumed operations, a decrease of 19.4% over the same period.
Some industrial products decreased or increased slightly compared to the same period, not reaching the assigned plan such as: beer of all kinds only reached 78.38% of the plan, up 2.56% compared to the same period; animal feed reached 78.26% of the plan, up 5.57%; ready-made clothes 79.17% of the plan, up 0.6%; fibers of all kinds 52.94% of the plan, down 8.68%; cement reached 75.83% of the plan, down 2.06%; fertilizer reached 50.15% of the plan, down 8.82% compared to the same period....
In 2024, Nghe An province's state budget revenue is estimated at VND 23,751 billion, equal to 110.4% compared to 2023; of which, domestic revenue is estimated at VND 22,000 billion, equal to 109.6% compared to 2003, revenue from import-export activities is estimated at VND 1,650 billion, equal to 129.1% compared to 2023.
Local budget expenditure in 2024 is 45,836 billion VND, equal to 127% of the estimate.
The structure of state budget revenue in the area is not really sustainable, revenue from land use fees still accounts for a large proportion (39.4% of total state budget revenue), revenue from production and business activities accounts for a low proportion (32.5% of total state budget revenue).
Although tax debt has decreased, it is still high. Total tax debt as of October 31, 2024 is VND 3,129 billion, a decrease of VND 2,586 billion compared to 2023.
