Lam Dong - The province has just approved the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway project with a total investment of more than VND18,000 billion.

On June 6, Mr. Tran Hong Thai - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee signed a decision approving the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Construction Project under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.

The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway starts in Tan Phu District (Dong Nai Province), ends in Bao Loc City (Lam Dong Province). The total length of the route is 65.88 km, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is 11.91 km long, the section passing through Lam Dong province is 53.97 km long.

The expressway is designed with a 22 m wide roadbed, including 4 lanes. The total investment capital is more than VND18,000 billion. The project is expected to use about 500 hectares of land, of which Dong Nai province is 86 hectares, Lam Dong province is more than 414 hectares.

According to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2027.

This expressway is part of the Dau Giay (Dong Nai) - Lien Khuong (Lam Dong) expressway system, connecting Lam Dong province with the Southeast region, shortening travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat City.

When completed, the route will increase connectivity to the national transport network, shortening the connection time of the Central Highlands provinces with the key economic region in the South, as well as economic, social and industrial centers along National Highway 20.

The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway will contribute to promoting economic and tourism development, ensuring security and defense for Lam Dong province in particular and the Central Highlands region in general. At the same time, this project also promotes the effectiveness of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway sections.

Previously, at the end of March, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also approved the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Project with a scale of 4 lanes, with a total investment of nearly VND18,000 billion. This project is over 73 km long, starting at Loc Phat ward (Bao Loc city), ending at the intersection with Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway (in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province), expected to be put into operation in 2027.
