On December 19, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with units and localities to organize the opening of the OCOP Product Week, regional specialties and Supply-Demand Connection between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in 2025 in Bai Sau and Vung Tau areas; taking place from December 19-21.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, this year's event is the largest ever, with the participation of 24 provinces and cities across the country, gathering about 400 businesses, cooperatives, distribution systems and e-commerce platforms, displaying and introducing more than 3,000 types of products...
The event was held to promote supply-demand connection activities, stimulate consumption, develop domestic markets for Vietnamese goods, contributing to the city's total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in 2025 growth of over 18%.
At the same time, it creates a strong spread through the synchronous implementation of many major programs of Ho Chi Minh City such as: Supply-Demand Connection Program, Market Stabilization Program, OCOP Product Week, Concentrated Promotion Program, ... thereby responding to the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee commented that through the event, it will not only connect the domestic market but also aim to connect consumption on e-commerce platforms and online sales platforms, boost exports and create conditions for businesses, cooperatives, and manufacturing units to exchange experiences and learn to improve branded and quality products.
The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also requested cooperatives and OCOP entities to continue to improve the quality of goods; innovate designs, build brands... in the coming time, contributing to preventing poor quality products from reaching consumers. Departments, branches, localities, and distribution systems must work together to build solutions and remove difficulties, aiming to perfect the green production and production process, produce according to market signals, products that meet consumer tastes, etc.
These activities not only connect supply and demand but also accompany market development and develop a safe and sustainable supply chain.
