Today (September 17), the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province held a regular meeting for September 2024.
At the meeting, Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan acknowledged and commended the spirit of drastic action of the entire political system, forces and the consensus of all people actively participating in responding to and overcoming the incident caused by storm No. 3.
At the same time, highly appreciate the press and media agencies that have been proactive in propaganda work, updating information promptly and continuously creating a spread in public opinion.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan also reviewed the results of activities in the past month, notably the Provincial People's Committee held a thematic meeting in September with many important contents, contributing to bringing laws into life; Thuan Thanh town and Que Vo town were recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs as meeting the criteria of grade 1 administrative units.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan said that for other tasks, the province has focused on directing and requiring to speed up the construction progress of traffic, education and health projects; speed up the disbursement progress. Focus on creating conditions to start the construction of the Golden Canal bridge project and the social housing area in Que Vo town.
The Golden Canal Bridge project is considered a symbol of development and connection between the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong.
This project is invested by the Bac Ninh Traffic Construction Project Management Board (Bac Ninh Department of Transport) with a total route length of 13.3km (740m long bridge, 12.6km approach road), total investment of 2,182 billion VND.
The project is of great significance in completing transport infrastructure and promoting regional economic development.
Previously, the Golden Canal Bridge project was scheduled to start on September 7 when the locality held a conference to announce the planning and investment promotion of Bac Ninh province in 2024. However, the conference was later postponed so that Bac Ninh province could focus on responding to storm No. 3 Yagi.
The social housing project in Que Vo town, invested by Tung Bach Company Limited, will be built in Phuong Mao and Phuong Lieu wards with an investment scale of more than 1,300 billion VND. The project is expected to start construction in September 2024 and is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2025.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province requested departments, branches and localities to focus on implementing key construction projects, especially the Ring Road 4 project, speeding up the progress of bidding packages to make up for the delay due to many factors.
At the same time, continue to strengthen the handling of environmental pollution, closely follow specific progress, and attach responsibility to the heads of Party committees and authorities in Phong Khe, Phu Lam, Van Mon and localities with craft villages causing environmental pollution.
