Mid-Autumn cakes are starting to launch in Ho Chi Minh City with many new designs, prices and flavors launched on the market.

Although it is still quite early compared to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the market in Ho Chi Minh City has begun to become bustling as retailers actively put products on shelves, increasing choices for consumers. On streets such as Pham Van Dong, National Highway 1A..., mooncake kiosks have also been set up, with many different brands and types.

According to records, these points of sale are mainly concentrated on crowded roads, residential areas and areas near markets and supermarkets. Cakes are displayed quite eye-catching, from popular cake lines to high-end products, serving the needs of buying for household use or as gifts.

The increasing appearance of sales points shows that the mooncake market is entering a starting phase. Businesses and retailers are also strengthening the early launch of products to meet people's shopping needs, while creating more competitiveness in terms of price, design and incentive programs.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong (resident of Linh Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that her family usually buys about 4-6 boxes of mooncakes each year to use and give to relatives. "This year I see the cakes being sold quite early, the designs are also diverse. I will consult the prices at supermarkets and points of sale before deciding to buy, prioritizing those with reasonable prices and beautiful packaging as gifts" - Ms. Duong said.

Recorded at supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City, mooncakes are sold in eye-catching locations, with diverse designs and prices, meeting many different needs of consumers. Traditional cake lines, mixed filling cakes, green beans, and salted eggs are sold in parallel with high-end products and gift-giving cakes.

Products are distributed in many segments, with familiar brands such as Kinh Do, Mondelez, Bibica, Maison, Huu Nghi, Hai Ha... Besides traditional flavors such as taro, pineapple green beans, black sesame seeds, roasted chicken, this year's market has some new flavors such as gac green beans, yellow lotus and mango.
