On August 13, representatives of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that the unit has proposed amending a number of regulations in the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations, including content aimed at online remote fines. This content is being drafted for submission to the National Assembly.
According to the proposed direction, for violations detected through professional technical equipment systems, functional agencies do not have to make records but can issue decisions to sanction administrative violations, and at the same time implement the entire sanctioning process on the electronic environment.
The Traffic Police Department said that in the coming time, violations of traffic order and safety will be detected through professional technical equipment such as cameras, speed meters, alcohol concentration meters, weight scales... Through which, each violation has "electronic evidence".
Along with the development of electronic identification applications for citizens such as VNeID, VNeTraffic... and for organizations, administrative violation penalties in the field of transportation are oriented to be implemented throughout the process through the application.
The Traffic Police Department gave an example, when the system detects violations, notifications will be automatically sent to the account on the application within 2 hours. Individuals and organizations that violate then confirm agreement or disagreement with the violation.
