Expanding the scale of green Tick
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, up to now, the number of suppliers participating in the Green Tick program has increased significantly, with 353 suppliers, 3079 registered products and 2962 products confirmed to participate.
The survey results show that sales of Tick green products have increased by more than 20% compared to the time of implementation. This is a positive signal showing that the program not only strengthens consumer confidence, but also promotes the formation of responsible consumption habits in the community.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that Tick is responsible for implementing not only food but all goods, both food and non-food. The program not only focuses on the quality of goods, but also a solution to change awareness - from state management to production, business, sales and consumption.
"In the past, there have been great efforts but the management efficiency is still difficult and limited. With this method, if done well, the program will be an effective solution, helping to change the approach. Management agencies not only grant licenses, check, and impose penalties, but also have additional tools to make the market transparent" - Mr. Phuong said.
With this program, the more entities are encouraged to participate, the greater the value, the greater the transparency of production and business, and the distinction between honest business units and less serious cases.

In order to bring the program to the peak, the Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with the City Department of Food Safety launched the "Responsible Green Tick Month", expected to launch in September 2025.
In this implementation, moon cakes were selected as the main product group, suitable for the peak consumption period of the market. The program will be organized synchronously in modern distribution systems, while expanding to establishments and households producing and trading moon cakes in the city, creating a close chain of links in quality control, ensuring the rights and health of consumers.
The pilot model is expected to continue to promote and expand the application of Tet gift baskets, serving consumer needs during the Lunar New Year 2026, thereby contributing to affirming the sustainability and effectiveness of the Program.
