A Dynamic Interest Rate Bank
According to Lao Động's records, on August 10, after a week in which many banks successively increased savings interest rates, the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) unexpectedly reduced its interest rate by 0.25 percentage points at various terms.
The interest rate for terms of 1-2 months decreased to 2.95%/year.
The interest rate for terms of 3-5 months decreased to 3.45%/year.
The interest rate for terms of 6 months decreased to 4.15%/year.
The interest rate for terms of 9 months decreased to 4.29%/year.
The interest rate for terms of 12 months decreased to 5.0%/year.
The interest rate for terms of 15-36 months decreased to 5.75%/year. Prior to the increase in interest rates, SeABank paid an interest rate of 6.0%/year for this term.
A Series of 11 Banks Increase Interest Rates
According to Lao Động's records, as of August 10, the market has recorded 11 banks increasing interest rates, including Eximbank, ACB, Agribank, Sacombank, Saigonbank, VietBank, TPBank, CBBank, VIB, Dong A Bank, and VPBank.
On the other hand, the August interest rate market also recorded a bank reducing interest rates, which is ABBank. ABBank has listed a reduction of 0.1-0.3 percentage points at most terms. Today, SeABank has also listed a reduction of 0.25 percentage points in interest rates at various terms.
