Banks increase interest rates beyond 6.0%/year
According to Lao Dong on September 11, Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Bac A Bank) recorded an increase of 0.15 percentage points for all terms. Notably, the highest interest rate at Bac A Bank is currently listed at 6.05%/year.
The interest rate table applied to balances over 1 billion VND of Bac A Bank has recorded the following changes:
The 1-month Interest Rate increased by 0.15 percentage points to 3.85%/year.
The 3-month Interest Rate increased by 0.15 percentage points to 4.15%/year.
Interest Rate for 6-month term increased by 0.15 percentage points, to 5.35%/year.
Interest Rate for 9-month term increased by 0.15 percentage points, to 5.45%/year.
The 12-month Interest Rate increased by 0.15 percentage points to 5.9% per year.
Interest Rate for 18-36 month term increased by 0.15 percentage points, to 6.05%/year.
With a balance of less than 1 billion VND, Bac A Bank currently lists interest rates as follows:
Interest Rate for 1 month term is 3.65%/year.
Interest Rate for 3-month term is 3.95%/year.
Interest Rate for 6-month term is 5.15%/year.
Interest Rate for 9-month term is at 5.25%/year.
Interest Rate for 12-month term is 5.7%/year.
Interest Rate for 18-36 month term is 5.85%/year.
According to Lao Dong, since the beginning of September, the market has had 7 banks increase interest rates, including: Techcombank, Dong A Bank, OceanBank, Eximbank, GPBank, VietBank, Bac A Bank; with the increasing trend mainly in short terms.
