Good support policies will promote private economic development

NGỌC LÊ |

To promote the breakthrough development of the private economy, there needs to be support from the government, especially in improving mechanisms and simplifying procedures.

The private economy is an important driving force of the economy, contributing greatly to GDP. Ms. Ly Kim Chi - Chairman of Tan Dong Hiep Group, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Foodstuff Association said that the private economy accounts for nearly 80% of employment for workers. However, the private economy is currently still small and fragile. To keep industrial production up with the times, the new era needs to change.

To support the development of the private economic sector, there must be no distinction between the private economy and the State economy. However, policies for the private economy are currently lacking, and there needs to be policies to support.

In addition, each locality's policies are also needed to support the private economy. With this support, the private economy will break through, contributing to boosting the Vietnamese economy.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the number of businesses is large, but there are still small and medium-sized businesses, so it is necessary to support these businesses to develop. Ho Chi Minh City currently has 400,000 production and business establishments, we think that if we have the conditions, we should turn these establishments into enterprises.

At the same time, there is a policy of tax exemption for the first 1-2 years, simplifying all tax procedures, supporting them in reporting according to the digital economy... When we have this number of businesses, we will have more strength. Our experience shows that hundreds of thousands of these businesses are developing sustainably, with fewer dissolutions than those established later" - Ms. Ly Kim Chi - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Food Association said.

Regarding the private economy, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to implement mechanism solutions, remove difficulties and obstacles and support businesses to develop, contributing to the set growth target.

Ms. To Thi Kim Thoa - Head of the Department of Public-private Cooperation and Debt Management (Department of Finance) said that Ho Chi Minh City will transform the governance model towards more efficiency, in which businesses are not only the beneficiaries but also the main driving force for economic development.

At the same time, promptly implement policies to exempt, reduce, and extend taxes, fees, and land rents to support businesses, promote domestic production and business activities, tourism, and consumption. The city will also review and amend inappropriate regulations to create a favorable investment environment.

Focus on reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment; create all conditions to quickly resolve investment procedures, with a quick and transparent procedure settlement process, ensuring procedures are carried out online, seamlessly and effectively.
