On February 11, Hue City Police organized a business meeting conference with the theme of accompanying and creating a secure, safe, and healthy investment and business environment to serve socio-economic development.
In 2025, Hue officially became a centrally-run city. The city completed 13/14 socio-economic targets; GRDP is estimated to increase by 8.5%; budget revenue is nearly 15,000 billion VND. Tourism welcomed more than 6.3 million visitors, revenue reached 13,000 billion VND. The City Police force is assessed to play an important role in ensuring political security, social order and safety, creating a stable environment for investment, production, and business activities.
At the conference, many businesses proposed to continue reducing administrative procedures; provide specific guidance on regulations on residence, fire prevention and fighting, conditional business lines; remove obstacles related to site clearance; ensure security in industrial parks and concentrated production areas.
Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang acknowledged the efforts of the city police in strongly shifting from administrative management thinking to serving, putting people and businesses at the center; promoting procedural reform, digital transformation in residence management, fire prevention and fighting, and network security.
Orienting 2026 with the goal of GRDP increasing by over 10%, budget revenue of 16,000 billion VND, city leaders proposed that the police force continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions of the Politburo; promote the provision of online public services; participate in removing "bottlenecks" in data and technology infrastructure; strengthen dialogue and legal risk consulting for businesses.
Concluding the conference, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan affirmed that the city police will continue to innovate their public service style, strongly shifting from "control" to "accompanying", considering businesses as service objects; operate a rapid response mechanism, shorten the time to process petitions; prioritize resolving procedures in the form of online, one-stop shop.
The conference is considered an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, remove difficulties, consolidate the relationship between the Police force and the business community, contributing to building a safe and stable investment environment for Hue's sustainable development.
