In the afternoon of February 11th (ie December 24th of the lunar calendar), increased traffic volume caused prolonged congestion on many sections of Nguyen Van Linh street, the access road to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, vehicles moved slowly, at times almost standing still.

At about 4 pm, the Nguyen Van Linh street area (section passing through Binh Dong ward), towards Binh Thuan intersection, was crowded with vehicles.
At the access road to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, congestion occurred in both directions of entering and leaving the expressway.

Faced with the above situation, the Traffic Police (CSGT) force under Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station - Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police has increased officers and soldiers on duty at key intersections at intersections on access roads to the expressway. Traffic police continuously regulate, divert, and guide vehicles to limit traffic conflicts.
In addition to deploying direct forces, traffic police also use traffic cameras and flycams to monitor the overall situation, promptly detect congestion points and adjust traffic diversion plans accordingly.
Cases of stopping and parking in violation of regulations, and driving in the wrong lane are also reminded and handled to ensure traffic order and safety.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department, in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, people's travel demand increases sharply, especially at gateway routes. People participating in traffic need to proactively arrange travel time, comply with traffic police instructions and monitor traffic information to choose suitable routes, avoiding prolonged congestion.
