Processing and manufacturing industry continues to lead growth
In the first 6 months of 2026, industrial production in Lam Dong province maintained positive growth momentum.
Notably, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 16.92%, continuing to play the driving role of the entire industry, making significant contributions to the industrial production index (IIP) and GRDP growth of the province.

This result comes from the stable operation of building material factories, bauxite complexes and many processing, manufacturing and high-tech enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Ut - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province - said that the province's industrial structure is shifting towards gradually reducing dependence on heavy industry, increasing the proportion of processing and manufacturing industry and high-tech application industries.

According to Mr. Ut, this shift not only increases production value but also creates a foundation for the industry to develop in a modern and sustainable direction.
Along with production growth, the consumption of the processing and manufacturing industry also recorded positive signals when the consumption index increased by 12.35% compared to the same period last year.
Businesses expect the market to continue to grow
According to Mr. Pham Quoc Hung - Head of Statistics of Lam Dong province, the survey results of production and business trends show that most processing and manufacturing enterprises are still optimistic about market prospects in the last months of the year.
In the second quarter of 2026, 32.14% of businesses assessed that production and business activities were more favorable than the previous quarter; 50.12% assessed the situation as stable and 17.74% predicted that they would face more difficulties.

However, the processing and manufacturing industry still faces competitive pressure, fluctuations in input material sources and labor shortages in some sectors.
At Loc Son Industrial Park (B'Lao ward), BLao Food Co., Ltd. continues to expand processing and exporting agricultural products.
Business representatives said that agricultural products such as sweet potatoes, bananas, durians, passion fruit, dragon fruit, avocados and many types of vegetables are being processed with increasing output, meeting the needs of the markets of Japan, China, Korea, the United States and Eastern Europe.
Meanwhile, Lam Dong Aluminum Company - TKV also completed and exceeded most of the production and business targets; and at the same time promoted cost reduction, ensuring labor safety, protecting the environment and improving the lives of workers.
This result makes an important contribution to the socio-economic growth of the locality and creates a foundation for businesses to achieve their goals in the year.
According to many businesses, the decrease in gasoline and oil prices compared to the beginning of the year has contributed to reducing transportation and production costs, creating favorable conditions for production and business activities.
In addition, units also proactively seek more sources of raw materials, maintain traditional customers and expand consumption markets to improve competitiveness.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Ut said that with the proactiveness of the business community and recovery signals from the market, the processing and manufacturing industry is having many favorable conditions to continue to maintain growth momentum in the last months of the year.
Not only is it a driving force of the industry, the processing and manufacturing sector also creates spillover effects to logistics, services and the labor market, contributing to realizing the double-digit economic growth target of Lam Dong province in 2026," Mr. Nguyen Ba Ut emphasized.
