On July 22, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a plan to implement the Prime Minister's decision on the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (KTMTD). Da Nang assigns specific tasks to agencies, units and implementation progress for implementation.
According to the plan, from now until the end of 2025, Da Nang will focus on urgent tasks. The city will develop a dossier to propose new specific mechanisms and policies that are superior to Resolution 136 of the National Assembly. At the same time, the adjustment of land planning and procedures will be accelerated at 5 locations that can be implemented immediately, including areas in Lien Chieu Industrial Park, Hai Van ward and Ba Na commune, with a total area of over 1,000 hectares. The remaining densely populated locations are also urgently being cleared.
To attract strategic investors, Da Nang will develop attractive support policies for investment in technical infrastructure, social infrastructure and support for site clearance costs. One of the strategic orientations in the plan is to research and survey to propose expanding the boundary of the free trade zone to the South (old Chu Lai area, old Quang Nam), to open up a wider development space.
Currently, the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones is collecting public opinions on the project to adjust the planning for 7 specialized functional areas of the EIA. These functional areas are planned systematically and diversely, including:
Logistics, production and supporting industry centers (Pots 1, 2, 3, 4): Large scale, associated with Lien Chieu port and the High-Tech Park, forming a modern industrial - logistics cluster.
Commercial, service, resort and innovation complexes (Pots 5, 6, 7): Concentrated in the Ba Na and Hoa Vang areas, aiming for high-value added services such as high-quality healthcare, resort tourism, scientific research and startups.
