According to the working minutes between the Company and the Provincial Labor Federation, at noon on July 21, the company's kitchen included the following dishes: White rice, fried fish with nut leaves, stir-fried pumpkin, rice with bamboo shoots, sausage fried rice, fried pork, yogurt, and dessert guava for 1,100 meals.

In a worker's rice tray, an unusual foreign object was discovered. After checking and looking carefully, the foreign object moved on the rotated meat of the rice tray, like a tree still alive.
This rice tray was later recovered and a new rice tray was exchanged for the workers. At the same time, the kitchen management department at the company issued an explanation.
By the morning of July 22, the catering company had issued an official dispatch to explain the incident. The Company has also informed all employees about the "incident of foreign object detection in the food", and at the same time sent an apology to all workers.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thao - Chairman of the Trade Union of Unico Global YB Company Limited, at lunch on July 22, more than 60% of workers refused to eat at the Company, these workers switched to ordering their own things and placing dishes outside the company to eat.
At the meeting, the leaders of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation proposed that the company pay for lunch for the number of workers and laborers who did not have lunch at the dining table on July 22.
The company coordinated with the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to clearly verify the reason for the food sample to promptly inform the workers.
At the same time, working with the food supplier must ensure quality, if violations occur, they will be handled according to the law.
Previously, in April 2021, at Unico Global YB Garment Company, there were 84 workers showing signs of food poisoning, of which 29 people had to be hospitalized for treatment, the remaining 55 people showed less mild symptoms.
