Da Nang builds agricultural product trading point from Hoa Vang rural market

Da Nang - Hoa Vang Hometown Market has just opened with more than 200 agricultural products, OCOP and traditional craft villages.

On the evening of June 20, Hoa Vang Commune People's Committee, Da Nang City organized the opening ceremony of Hoa Vang Village Market with the theme "Home-grown - Field scent - Clean from the root".

The fair gathered more than 200 items with the participation of 20 booths from cooperatives, businesses, production households and OCOP entities of Hoa Vang commune and communes and wards including Hoa Tien, Ba Na, Hoa Xuan, Dai Loc, Dien Ban, Dien Ban Bac, Hai Chau, Cam Le, Thanh Khe, An Khe.

In particular, many typical mountainous localities such as Hung Son, Song Vang, Viet An, La E... have actively responded with typical mountain and forest products brought to the fair.

According to Hoa Vang Commune People's Committee, the fair is organized to promote agricultural products, connect trade, and expand consumption markets for farmers, cooperatives and businesses.

This is also an activity in response to the 2026 "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" Campaign and the Project on propaganda and mobilization of farmers to produce and trade safe agricultural products and food for community health in the period 2026 - 2030.

The highlight of the fair is the orientation of building a stable trading space, promoting production - consumption links between localities, and at the same time spreading the message of safe production, green consumption and environmental protection with the motto "no plastic - no chemicals".

According to the plan, Hoa Vang Village Market will be held periodically on Saturday evenings of the first week of each month. Local authorities expect this to become a unique cultural and commercial rendezvous, contributing to maintaining the vitality of Tuy Loan Night Street, attracting tourists and creating more livelihoods for local people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Phu Nguyen - Chairman of Hoa Vang Commune People's Committee said that through the fair, the locality wishes to build a stable trading space, experiment with a horizontal economic linkage model between communes and wards when implementing 2-level local government.

The fair is implemented according to the principle of combining each other's own advantages, mutual benefit, farmers benefiting, gradually establishing the gateway role connecting Hoa Vang from Da Nang city to the western economic region of the city.

From there, form effective production - consumption linkage chains; at the same time, this is also a reliable address, creating conditions for people to access, identify and prioritize choosing Da Nang city products with clear quality and origin, thereby arousing trust and pride in goods produced by Vietnamese people and Da Nang people," Mr. Nguyen said.
