The new generation Vietnam Coastal Tourism Urban Project is invested by a consortium of investors, including: HDMON Group Joint Stock Company, Vanté Capital Fund 1, CIIC Group PTE Ltd. and China Construction Corporation Ltd., proposed investment research in the Bac Cai Bau area, Van Don Economic Zone.
The project has a scale of about 5,000ha, with a total estimated investment of about 18 billion USD.
With the goal of forming a new generation coastal tourism urban model, developing in the direction of combining tourism, trade, services, innovation, biotechnology and high-quality healthcare..., the project is oriented to develop into 5 functional sub-zones, including: Urban center - maritime tourism; resort urban area; seaport tourism service area; medical and technology urban area in the free trade area; forest and cultural conservation area.
The project is considered one of the largest-scale investment ideas ever proposed in Van Don Economic Zone today, not only creating a high-class urban and resort tourism area, the project also aims to form a new development pole with a modern economic ecosystem, combining marine economy, services, high technology, medicine and innovation.
The project implementation will contribute to realizing the development orientation of Bac Cai Bau according to the General Urban Plan of Quang Ninh to 2050, vision to 2075, and at the same time create new momentum for Van Don to break through in the next development phase.
At the meeting, based on proposals from investors, delegates focused on discussing the suitability of the investment idea with the approved plans; plan to adjust the planning of Bac Cai Bau sub-area; current status of land use, forest resources, water surface; requirements on national defense, security, environmental protection; and clarifying the order, legal procedures, forms of investor selection and project implementation roadmap according to the provisions of law...
Speaking to direct, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Quan Minh Cuong emphasized that Van Don is facing a new development opportunity with the orientation of building into a modern and smart special economic zone, which is an important growth pole of the province and the Northeast region.
The research of investment ideas must be oriented towards breakthroughs, aiming to effectively exploit the potential and differentiated advantages of the region, create new development space and improve international competitiveness. Along with that, it is necessary to ensure harmony of interests between the State, businesses and people; at the same time, fully comply with the provisions of law, in accordance with the approved plans.
Quang Ninh province agreed to allow the Investor Consortium to study and complete the proposal dossier for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and appraise before reporting to competent authorities.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Bui Van Khang - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - assigned the Economic Zone Management Board to take the lead in guiding the Investor Consortium to carry out research procedures and complete project proposal dossiers in accordance with regulations.
Quang Ninh province is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for administrative procedures, preparing land funds, connecting infrastructure and necessary conditions, so that immediately after the project is approved by competent authorities, the project can be implemented quickly and effectively, contributing to maximizing the potential and advantages of Van Don Economic Zone, creating new momentum for socio-economic development of the province.
