The textile and garment industry has received positive signals with a large and stable number of orders since the beginning of the year. Enterprises expect growth and market expansion.

Many textile and garment enterprises said that they have received many orders in the first months of 2025. Therefore, enterprises and experts predict that textile and garment exports will have good growth momentum.

Mr. Pham Quang Anh - Director of Dony Garment Company Limited said that, in addition to objective signals from the market, the core factor helping the business grow impressively in 2024 is actively expanding the market.

The company’s orders for 2024 will grow from traditional markets such as the US, the Middle East and domestically. The rest will come from newly explored markets such as Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Russia, etc.

"Recently, the company signed an order with a new market, Africa, for 110,000 shirts. At the same time, the company also has many orders for the first quarter of 2025 that have been finalized," Mr. Pham Quang Anh shared.

In addition, the large shift of orders from China, Bangladesh, Myanmar to Vietnam... is a great opportunity for textile and garment enterprises to receive a "rain" of orders from the beginning of 2025.

Mr. Pham Van Viet - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Thang Jean Company said that orders for 2025 are expected to be plentiful.

In December 2024, the company produced for the spring and summer of 2025, and employees had to work overtime to produce (previously only 8 hours), which contributed to growth.

"We can grow quickly because we accept small orders and fashion items," said Mr. Pham Van Viet.

In addition, the Vietnamese textile and garment industry needs a comprehensive and sustainable development strategy. Enterprises in the industry must be sensitive and flexible in changing models and investing in machinery and equipment.

Ms. Le Nguyen Trang Nha - Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Textile, Embroidery and Knitting Association said that in 2025, the textile and garment industry has 6 main solutions including clean technology, sustainable investment, market diversification, human resources, technology development, and capital mobilization.

In particular, businesses need to proactively diversify markets, customers and products for flexibility and sustainable growth; Strengthening strong and reputable customer relationships; Improving commercial efficiency and optimizing profits; Innovating in production, improving labor productivity, controlling costs and efficiency; Strengthening internal linkages, developing human resources.

According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, by 2025, the Vietnamese textile and garment industry aims to achieve an export turnover of 47-48 billion USD. This figure is based on careful calculation and research of order trends.

Currently, many textile and garment enterprises have signed orders until the end of the first quarter of 2025, some enterprises have signed orders until the end of the second quarter of 2025.

With stable orders and flexible development strategies, Vietnam's textile and garment industry is on track to make a strong breakthrough by 2025.

Expanding the market, applying new technology and improving production capacity will be decisive factors in helping textile and garment enterprises maintain sustainable growth momentum.
