Dien Bien to have a hydropower plant worth more than 486 billion VND

Dien Bien - The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the investment policy for the Le Bau 3 hydropower project with a total capital of more than 486 billion VND.

Mr. Lo Van Cuong - Standing Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee has just signed decision 408 on approving the investment policy and at the same time approving the investor for the Le Bau 3 Hydropower project.

Accordingly, Truong Thinh Joint Stock Company (address No. 448, Group 8, Dien Bien Phu ward) is the investor implementing the project.

The Le Bau 3 hydropower project will be deployed in Pa Ham and Nam Nen communes, Dien Bien province, with an expected land use area of about 31.69 ha.

The plant is designed with a capacity of 12.8 MW. When put into operation, the average electricity output is estimated to reach 42.136 million kWh/year to the national grid system.

The total investment capital of the project is more than 486 billion VND. Of which, the investor's contributed capital accounts for 30% (equivalent to more than 145.9 billion VND) and the remaining 70% (more than 340.4 billion VND) is mobilized from commercial banks.

The project is expected to be constructed from the first quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2028. Completion, putting the project into production and business operation in the first quarter of 2029.

Dien Bien province requests investors to accelerate the shortened implementation progress and soon put the project into operation according to regulations. Prioritize recruitment and use of local workers.

Supporting localities with at least 1 social security project or public project to improve the spirit and lives of people in the area.
