On the evening of August 12, the International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair of the East-West Economic Corridor - Da Nang 2026 (EWEC Fair - Da Nang 2026) officially opened at the Da Nang Exhibition Fair Center.

The fair is held annually to promote the image, socio-economic potential, investment, trade and tourism of localities to organizations, businesses, and investors on the East-West Economic Corridor.

The fair is held from August 12 to August 17, open to visitors and shoppers from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM daily.

This year, the fair has nearly 250 booths with the participation of 108 units, businesses and the culinary area of the City Culinary Association. There are 12 domestic provinces and cities participating including An Giang, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Hue, Lam Dong, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Quang Tri, Tay Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Long.
In addition, the fair has the participation of international organizations and businesses from 9 countries. Participating units include diplomatic representatives, trade offices, business associations and localities in South Central Laos such as Champasak, Savanakhet, Atapu, Khammouane, Salavan and Sekong.

Speaking at the opening of the fair, Mr. Phan Thai Binh, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that Da Nang is the eastern end point of the East-West Economic Corridor, with a strategic position connecting Mekong sub-region countries with the East Sea and international shipping routes.
With a synchronous transport infrastructure system, deep-water seaports, international airports, increasingly modern logistics networks and a transparent investment environment, the city is gradually affirming its role as a commercial, service, logistics and innovation center of the Central and Central Highlands regions.

“In the context of the world and domestic economies facing major challenges and unpredictable fluctuations, Da Nang's socio-economic situation still maintains stability and continues its development momentum, achieving certain results, in the first 7 months of 2026, budget revenue is estimated at more than 58,000 billion VND, an increase of 83.6% compared to the same period in 2025,” Mr. Binh said.

Also at the opening ceremony of the fair, Mr. Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that through many editions, the Fair has attracted an increasing participation of businesses, trade promotion organizations, investors and international partners.
Creating opportunities for trade connection, product promotion, investment promotion, and tourism development. At the same time, contributing to strengthening economic cooperation between Vietnamese localities and countries on the East-West Economic Corridor.
