World gas prices
According to Traders Union, natural gas prices continue to be under downward pressure, currently fluctuating around the support zone of about 2.58 USD. Weakening demand in the US, abundant supply and warmer weather forecasts are maintaining the downward trend of the market.
However, the downward momentum is not really clear as the selling side has not created enough pressure to break through the support zone. In case weather conditions change in a disadvantageous direction, the market may experience a technical recovery due to short-term buying and selling activities, with prices heading up to the 2.66–2.72 USD zone.
However, these recovery phases are likely to be short-term and may become an opportunity to increase selling positions. If selling pressure continues to prevail, the price may retest the current support zone.
In a more positive scenario, if the above resistance zone is overcome, gas prices may expand their gains to the 2.76–2.80 USD area. However, this possibility is not yet highly appreciated in the context that fundamentals have not improved much, even when the Middle East situation is still volatile.
