Retail gasoline and oil prices today, August 4th, at the system of Vietnam Oil Corporation - JSC (PVOIL) continue to be applied according to the adjustment level effective from 30.7 at 15:00 of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance.
According to the latest price list, E10 RON 95-III gasoline is listed by PVOIL at 22,850 VND/liter. E5 RON 92-II bio-gasoline is sold at 22,380 VND/liter, continuing to be the item with the lowest price in the gasoline group at the system.
In the oil group, DO 0.05S-II oil is currently priced at 27,620 VND/liter, while DO 0.001S-V oil is sold at 29,720 VND/liter, which is the item with the highest price in the fuel list announced by PVOIL.
Compared to the operating period effective from 3:00 PM on July 23, retail prices at PVOIL continued to be adjusted up in all items. Specifically, E10 RON 95-III gasoline increased by 1,420 VND/liter, to 22,850 VND/liter; E5 RON 92-II gasoline increased by 1,500 VND/liter, to 22,380 VND/liter.
For the oil group, DO 0.05S-II oil increased by 1,860 VND/liter, to 27,620 VND/liter; DO oil 0.001S-V also increased by 1,860 VND/liter, to 29,720 VND/liter.
The above retail price is applied by PVOIL at the entire system of gas stations and distribution units under the system nationwide until the next gasoline and oil price adjustment period of the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance.
The adjustment of gasoline and oil prices is implemented according to current regulations on price management, based on the developments of finished gasoline and oil prices in the world market in the price calculation cycle and price-forming factors according to regulations of management agencies.
Accelerate production, proactively source E100
Regarding the domestic gasoline and oil production situation, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (BSR) said that in the first 7 months of 2026, BSR operated Dung Quat Oil Refinery at an average of 124% of the designed capacity, meeting the increasing demand of the domestic gasoline and oil market.
According to Mr. Thang, Dung Quat Biofuel Plant's gradual capacity increase will help BSR be more proactive in domestic E100 sources, gradually reduce import dependence, optimize blending costs and maintain stable E10 gasoline supply when the application roadmap is implemented nationwide.
Mr. Pham Van Vuong, Director of BSR-BF, said that the unit has implemented a plan to restore production and business, and at the same time coordinated with business cooperation partners (BCC) including Nha Xanh Vietnam Company and PVChem to urgently maintain and put Dung Quat Biofuel Plant back into operation to meet the E100 demand according to the roadmap for applying E10 gasoline specified in Circular No. 50 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In parallel with the production recovery process, BSR-BF has built an innovation program with 14 groups of solutions to remove technology bottlenecks, increase usable capacity, improve fermentation efficiency, increase product value and by-products, take advantage of low carbon, reduce production costs and improve business efficiency.
According to the plan, in the third quarter of 2026, BSR-BF will convert production materials from cassava to corn, continue to increase the average operating capacity to 70-80%, and test operation at 125% of the designed capacity after technical conditions are met. Further, the enterprise aims to increase the available capacity to 150%, thereby increasing revenue, shortening debt repayment time, soon recovering equity and improving long-term competitiveness.
In the fourth quarter of 2026, BSR-BF will continue to implement solutions to increase available capacity, and cooperate with universities, research institutes and technology partners to expand the value chain from factories, research and produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) using Ethanol-to-Jet (ETJ) technology and low-carbon methanol from biological CO2 sources.
