The contest was held at Factory Z129, General Department of National Defense Industry. Attending were Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Colonel Nguyen Hong Loi - Head of the National Defense Trade Union.

There are 109 typical contestants representing the team of technical workers of the Mechanical industry throughout the army to participate in the contest. During the days of the contest, from July 4-8, contestants will go through 2 parts of the competition including theory and practice.

Speaking at the opening of the Contest, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - affirmed that the contest is of practical significance to concretize the policy of the Party, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on building high-quality human resources, and at the same time is an opportunity to honor the "Soldier-worker - Uncle Ho's soldiers", arousing the spirit of creative labor and mastering science and technology throughout the army.
The 6th All-Army Mechanical Skills Competition, 2026 is a practical activity, further affirming the concern of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Politics for the work of building a team of technical workers.

This is not only an opportunity to assess the actual level of skills, the ability to master science and technology of the mechanical engineering workers, but also an environment for units to exchange, learn, exchange experiences, update knowledge, and access new technologies.
In recent years, under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, regularly and directly the General Department of Politics, the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the leadership and direction of Party committees and commanders at all levels, the emulation movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor", "Practicing skills, competing for skilled workers" associated with the movement to promote initiatives, technical improvements, scientific research and master new technologies in agencies, units, and military enterprises has been widely deployed, achieving many practical results.
The team of mechanical engineering workers throughout the army has continuously matured in terms of professional qualifications, skills, industrial style and political bravery.
