World oil price today
At the end of a trading week, WTI crude oil was at 58.90 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 57.54 USD/barrel last weekend. Overall last week, WTI oil decreased by 1.36 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.3%.
Brent oil was at 62.73 USD/barrel last weekend, down to 61.29 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil decreased by 1.44 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.29% compared to last week.
Both oil products are at their lowest level since the beginning of May.
Analysts predict that oil prices will continue to be under pressure in the short term due to rapidly increasing supply and large inventories in the US. However, geopolitical factors, especially tensions in the Middle East or Europe, can cause strong fluctuations in oil prices.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On October 19, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on October 16.
Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices will increase or decrease depending on each item. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 88 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 174 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 181 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 28 VND/liter, mazut decreased by 437 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 0-50 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 0-30 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 490 VND/liter.
