On October 19, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Honda Automobile Thanh Hoa agency said that after agreeing on the plan with the owner, the agency has started repairing the Honda City damaged in the accident on the North - South Expressway (through Ninh Binh province).

"The vehicle owner has agreed with the dealer to repair the parts in the direction of: repair any parts that can be repaired, and replace severely damaged parts. When the repair is completed, the total cost can be determined in detail" - said a representative of the Honda Thanh Hoa Automobile dealership.
According to this representative, if the details are replaced, the repair time will be faster, and the recovery will last from a few days to about a week.
Previously, on October 12, social networks spread a clip about a traffic collision between a truck carrying relief goods from Dak Lak to the North and a Honda City truck with a Thanh Hoa license plate. After the collision, the owner of the volunteer group's truck compensated the Honda City owner 100 million VND based on the quotation table of the Honda Thanh Hoa Auto dealer.
The clip was quickly posted on social media, causing a stir and attracting many mixed opinions. Many people think that the quotation is too high, causing the truck owner to be "oppressed" in compensation. In response to this reaction, Honda Automo Thanh Hoa dealer sent a request to the police to verify, claiming that the information spread was inaccurate and affected the reputation of the business.
According to this dealer, on October 11, Mr. V.M.H (owner of Honda City) contacted to report the accident and requested a preliminary price list through the scene image. On October 12, the vehicle was brought to the dealer for on-site inspection. After discussing, the two sides agreed that many items could be restored instead of new ones, helping to reduce costs to 45 million VND.
Because he had received 100 million VND from the truck owner, Mr. H. then transferred 55 million VND back. However, the truck owner refused to accept and proactively sent this money back. The incident continues to be a hot topic of discussion on social networks.
Regarding the incident, on October 17, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police issued a decision to temporarily detain Le Dang Duc (born in 1992, residing in Thieu Giao Commune, Thanh Hoa) and Nguyen Van Khanh (born in 2001, residing in Yen Xuan Commune, Nghe An) to investigate the act of posting false information on social networks.
According to the initial investigation results, these two subjects are administrators of the fanpages "Beat 36 Thanh Hoa", "Beat Thanh Hoa" and "Hong 36 Thanh Hoa". After watching the clip of the accident, they did not verify the information but continuously posted articles claiming that the owner of the car forced the relief team to increase the cost to appropriate compensation. When the owner responded, Khanh also challenged and insulted the owner's honor.
