World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices closed the weekend session of August 19 (Vietnam time) simultaneously decreased. WTI crude oil was at 75.42 USD/barrel, down 0.12 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.16%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 75.54 USD/barrel, opening today's session at a price of 75.58 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 79.59 USD/barrel, down 0.09 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.11%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 79.68 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 79.63 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, if the situation in the Middle East does not escalate further, oil prices are likely to move sideways, or not establish a clear direction until the US Federal Reserve (Fed) makes an announcement. Decide whether to lower interest rates at the next September meeting or not.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 19, retail gasoline prices according to Petrolimex's published price list in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above mentioned domestic retail gasoline price has been adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade at the price management session on the afternoon of August 15. Accordingly, the price of fuel oil increased the most, 217 VND/kg. Diesel oil increased the least, 89 VND/liter. Two gasoline products E5 RON 92 and RON 95-III increased by 167 VND/liter and 179 VND/liter respectively. Kerosene also increased by 161 VND/liter.

Discounted prices of petroleum products today, August 19, at some domestic petroleum agents are as follows:
Pvoil applies the discount on August 19: Oil discount 1,550 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,500 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,250 VND/liter. This discount is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on August 19 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,500 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,450 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 19: 95-III gasoline: 1,200; E5 gasoline: 1,000; Oil: 1,600 VND/liter.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price management period, gasoline prices may be adjusted downward. In particular, gasoline can be reduced by 200 - 300 VND/liter; Oil fell below 100 VND/liter.
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 15 times. Oil products had 16 increases and 16 decreases.
