World oil prices today
Last week, world gasoline and oil prices turned down. WTI crude oil from 99.99 USD/barrel at the end of last week fell to 99.53 USD/barrel at the end of this week, equivalent to a decrease of 0.46 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.46%.
Brent oil from 104.47 USD/barrel at the end of last week fell to 103.19 USD/barrel at the end of this week, equivalent to a decrease of 1.28 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.23%.
World oil prices in the week continuously reversed direction, fluctuating strongly. Developments in the Middle East continue to be the main factor affecting the energy market.
New attacks by Iranian-backed Houthi forces in Yemen targeting Saudi Arabia and cargo ship attacks in the Gulf region have increased concerns about the risk of disruption to global energy supplies. Meanwhile, Gulf countries postponed their scheduled meeting with Iran, making the market even more concerned that the conflict could spread and affect oil supply activities.
Information that Saudi Arabia offered to sell more crude oil blocks through Oman has partly eased concerns about supply disruptions from the Middle East, contributing to pushing oil prices down.
However, the supply on the spot oil market is still scarce, limiting the price drop. The flow of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz continues to decrease, while tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi forces put transportation through the Red Sea and regional energy infrastructure at risk of being disrupted again.

The above domestic retail gasoline and oil prices are adjusted by Petrolimex according to the inter-ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance's management period from 3:00 PM on September 17.
Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase.
In which:
- E10 gasoline reduced by about 500 VND/liter
- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increased by about 400 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil increased by about 300 VND/liter.
