World oil price today
Today's gasoline prices continue to decrease. At the end of the trading session at the end of the weekend, WTI crude oil was at 60.79 USD/barrel, down 0.15 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.25%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 60.94 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 60.94 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 62.78 USD/barrel, down 0.57 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.90%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 63.35 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 63.27 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices decreased by about 1% last week, marking the second consecutive week of decline.
According to analysts, this trend continues as the market receives information about the possibility that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) will discuss increasing production beyond 41,000 barrels/day in July, at a separate meeting held on May 31. Tax measures are also creating significant pressure, causing oil prices to weaken.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 31, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 29, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have adjusted in opposite directions with slight increases in gasoline prices and decreases in oil prices.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 74 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 33 VND/liter, diesel price decreased by 269 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 206 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 248 VND/kg.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase slightly.
