On the afternoon of June 3, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team of Soc Trang province inspected the slaughterhouse at Cho Cu hamlet, My Xuyen town (My Xuyen district). This is a processing slaughterhouse for 4 CP Fresh Shop stores of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company in the province.

The surgical workshop is owned by Ms. Huynh Thi Ba. At the time of inspection, there were 11 pigs (separate pigs) of CP Vietnam Joint Stock Company - Can Tho Branch in the holding area.
According to Ms. Huynh Thi Ba, the slaughterhouse has a full operating license and meets the prescribed conditions, so CP Company has a contract to process slaughter. The slaughterhouse owner only rents out the premises and works serving pig slaughter such as boiling water, slaughter tables, and clean water.
On average, the pig farm slaughters 30 or less pigs per day, of which CP's pigs range from 10 to 17 pigs/day. For each pig slaughtered here, the facility collects a rental fee of 40,000 VND.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Duy - pig manager of C.P Vietnam Company at the slaughterhouse - said that pigs were brought from the company's warehouse located in Hau Giang. When pigs are released, are fully checked and quarantined. On the way back to My Xuyen, pigs were checked by veterinary quarantine stations. When it comes to the slaughterhouse, it is checked again to ensure new safety into slaughter.
When slaughtering, the Company's staff closely monitor the stages and stages according to the correct procedures, ensuring safety and hygiene. After the surgery, a specialized vehicle was used to deliver to 4 CP Fresh Shop stores in Soc Trang and Bach Hoa Xanh stores. If pigs are found to be sick, they will be separated and treated in accordance with the regulations of the veterinary sector.

At the inspection, the authorities also took samples of pig blood at the slaughter facility to test for infectious diseases.
Previously, on June 2, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province reported the results of inspections of 4 business locations of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Branch in Can Tho operating in the province.
At the time of work, no sick pigs, sick chickens, products with foul odors or expired goods were detected. However, all 3 locations have expired Certificates of Food Safety Eligibility; at the same time, 3 locations have not yet presented the original certificate of business registration and all 4 locations have not yet presented certificates of food safety training in accordance with legal regulations.
