World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices in today's trading session, August 3 (Vietnam time), recorded a sharp decrease. WTI crude oil was at 74.14 USD/barrel, down 2.17 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.84%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 76.31 USD/barrel, opening today's session at a price of 76.86 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 77.57 USD/barrel, down 1.95 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.45%. Brent oil closed the previous session at 79.52 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 80.11 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, world oil prices dropped sharply after the US employment report was published. Poor economic data makes the market expect the US Federal Reserve (Fed) to cut interest rates soon.
In addition, disappointing economic data from China, the world's leading oil importer, also has a negative impact on oil prices. Oil import and refining activities in China in June were lower than the same period last year.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 3, retail gasoline prices according to Petrolimex's announced price list in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade at the price management session on the afternoon of August 1. Accordingly, diesel oil decreased the most, 316 VND/liter. The price of fuel oil decreased by 292 VND/kg, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 284 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 281 VND/liter. Kerosene decreased the least, 231 VND/liter. This is the fourth consecutive decrease in domestic gasoline prices.

Discounted prices of petroleum products today 3.8 at some domestic petroleum agents are as follows:
PVOil applies discount rates on August 3: Oil discount 1,400 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter. This discount is applied at PVOil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on August 3 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 3: 95-III gasoline: 1,100; E5 gasoline: 1,000; Oil: 1,400 VND/liter
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price management period, gasoline prices will continue to decrease.
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 14 times. Oil products had 15 increases and 15 decreases.
