World gasoline prices today
World gasoline prices last week recorded a sharp decrease. WTI crude oil was at 76.44 USD/barrel last week, falling to 74.14 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall for the past week, WTI crude oil decreased by 2.3 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3% compared to the previous week.
Brent oil was at 80.58 USD/barrel last week, falling to 77.57 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall, last week, Brent oil decreased by 3.01 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.7% compared to the previous week.
Analysts say that world oil prices have dropped sharply due to poor economic data in the US and expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will soon cut interest rates. In addition, disappointing economic data from China also negatively impacted oil prices. Oil import and refining activities in China in June were lower than the same period last year.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 4, retail gasoline prices according to Petrolimex's announced price list in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade at the price management session on the afternoon of August 1. Accordingly, diesel oil decreased the most, 316 VND/liter. The price of fuel oil decreased by 292 VND/kg, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 284 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 281 VND/liter. Kerosene decreased the least, 231 VND/liter. This is the fourth consecutive decrease in domestic gasoline prices.

Discounted prices of petroleum products today 4.8 at some domestic petroleum agents are as follows:
Pvoil applies the discount on August 4: Oil discount 1,400 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter. This discount is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai warehouse, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc gasoline discount on August 4 is as follows: Oil discount: 1,350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 4: 95-III gasoline: 1,300; E5 gasoline: 1,200; Oil: 1,600 VND/liter
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price management period, gasoline prices will continue to decrease.
From the beginning of the year until now, since the price management session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 14 times. Oil products had 15 increases and 15 decreases.
