Global Oil Prices Today
Oil Price in the world in today's trading session, August 8 (Vietnam time), continues to rise. WTI crude oil is at $75.38 per barrel, up $0.15 per barrel, equivalent to a 0.20% increase. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $75.23 per barrel and opened today's session at $75.42 per barrel.
Brent crude oil is at $78.39 per barrel, up $0.06 per barrel, equivalent to a 0.09% increase. Brent crude oil closed the previous trading session at $78.33 per barrel and opened today's session at $78.51 per barrel.
Thus, at the end of the trading session on August 7, oil prices increased by over 2%. According to analysts, oil prices have recovered from the lowest level in many months after data showed that US crude oil inventories decreased sharply than expected.
Domestic Oil Prices Today
On August 8, the retail prices of oil in the domestic market, according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 (46 provinces and cities applying the price list), are as follows:
The retail prices of oil in the domestic market mentioned above have been adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the price adjustment session on August 1. Accordingly, diesel oil decreased the most, by 316 dong/liter. Mazut oil decreased by 292 dong/kg, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 284 dong/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 281 dong/liter. Aviation fuel decreased the least, by 231 dong/liter. This is the fourth consecutive decrease in domestic oil prices.
Discounts on Oil Today
The discount prices of oil products today, August 8, at some domestic oil retailers are as follows:
Pvoil applies the discount price on August 8: Discount on diesel oil is 2,050 dong/liter; RON 95-III gasoline is 1,950 dong/liter; E5 gasoline is 1,750 dong/liter. This discount price is applied at Pvoil's Đình Vũ warehouse, Petec An Hải warehouse, and Cái Lân warehouse.
Xăng dầu Tự Lực applies the discount price on August 8 as follows: Discount on diesel oil is 2,000 dong/liter; RON 95-III gasoline is 1,900 dong/liter; E5 gasoline is 1,700 dong/liter.
Xăng dầu MIPEC applies the discount price on August 8: RON 95-III gasoline is 1,300 dong/liter; E5 gasoline is 1,200 dong/liter; diesel oil is 2,050 dong/liter.
Forecast of Domestic Oil Prices in the Next Period
According to a representative of a business enterprise dealing in oil, oil price in the domestic market will fluctuate according to the situation of oil prices in the world. Forecasting that in the price adjustment session today (August 8), oil prices will continue to decrease sharply, with a decrease of up to 700-800 dong/liter.
From the beginning of the year to now, from the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 14 times. Diesel oil has increased 15 times and decreased 15 times.
