On March 26, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province confirmed that in 2025, Quang Tri province will adjust some key economic indicators compared to the beginning, in which the growth rate of total product in the area will reach 8% compared to 2024. This is a very difficult task because the province's average growth rate in the period of 2021-2024 is 6.6% and the highest year (in 2022) also reached only 7.15%.
To complete this goal, the locality has developed a specific plan to implement it synchronously and effectively. In particular, it requires speeding up the progress of investment projects and works in the area, especially key and dynamic projects.
Currently, Quang Tri province has implemented 13 key and dynamic projects that have a great impact on socio-economic development and enhancing regional linkages.
Notably, the My Thuy Port Area project has a total investment of over VND 14,000 billion, playing a strategic role in developing the marine economy, creating leverage for logistics and import-export activities in the area; Quang Tri Industrial Park with a total investment capital of VND 2,074 billion, this is a highlight in attracting manufacturing enterprises, creating thousands of jobs for local workers.
The Quang Tri Airport project is implemented with a total investment of more than VND 5,800 billion. When completed, it will help Quang Tri connect conveniently with major domestic and international economic centers; Van Ninh - Cam Lo Expressway and the coastal road connecting the East-West Economic Corridor will contribute to improving transport infrastructure, helping Quang Tri promote its role as the gateway to the East-West Economic Corridor.
In addition, the province also promotes the implementation of renewable energy projects, in line with the sustainable development orientation, not only making the most of natural potential but also contributing to ensuring national energy security.
Mr. Ha Sy Dong - Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province said that with the dynamic projects that have been and are being implemented, one of the biggest challenges is site clearance and capital mobilization. However, with the strong direction from the Central Government, the strong participation of local authorities and the consensus of the people, many problems have been gradually resolved.
"We have assigned specific tasks to units and conducted regular inspections of construction progress of key and dynamic projects to resolve problems and difficulties" - Mr. Ha Sy Dong said.
