On June 22, Market Management Team No. 11 (Gia Lai Provincial Market Management Sub-Department) said that it will strengthen the handling of violations of counterfeit goods, fake goods, and intellectual property rights infringement.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Market Management Team No. 11 proactively inspected 106 cases, handled 65 administrative violations, and collected and remitted to the state budget more than 826 million VND (reaching 82.6% of the registered emulation target), contributing to stabilizing the market and protecting consumer rights in the managed area.
In addition, the Team confiscated violating goods worth more than 78 million VND and forced the destruction of violating goods worth more than 355 million VND.
Market Management Team No. 11 is assigned to manage a wide area with 16 wards and communes, including Pleiku, Hoi Phu, Thong Nhat, Dien Hong, An Phu wards and Bien Ho, Gao, Chu Pah, Ia Ly, Ia Khuol, Ia Phi, Ia Grai, Ia Krai, Ia Hrung, Ia Chia and Ia O communes.
Violations are mainly concentrated in the groups of fashion, food and pharmaceuticals. Notably, cases related to banned goods, counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property rights and violations in e-commerce activities account for 51.5% of the total number of cases handled, showing that these are still potentially risky areas that need to be further strengthened in inspection and control.
The publicizing of the hotline has created conditions for people and tourists to promptly reflect violations of prices, food safety, goods of unknown origin and trade fraud.
Especially at a time when Gia Lai province welcomes a large number of tourists to participate in activities of the 2026 National Tourism Year.
In the last 6 months of 2026, Market Management Team No. 11 will continue to strengthen local management, proactively grasp market developments, focus on inspecting and strictly handling acts of smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, goods infringing intellectual property rights and violations in e-commerce activities.
Thereby contributing to stabilizing the market, building a transparent, healthy business environment and complying with the provisions of law in the area.
