After the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, reuniting the country, people and tourists moved to the shops to rest and eat. Many cafes, restaurants, bars in the center of Ho Chi Minh City are full of people. Many customers have to wait more than 30 minutes to have seats and food.
At a pho restaurant on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (District 3), the dish was almost sold out at around 12 noon. "I had to go to 3 restaurants to get a seat and wait another 30 minutes to get food. The restaurants in this area have never been so crowded" - Ms. Minh Thuy (living in District 1) shared.
The same situation also occurs at large milk tea chains and coffee shops. Some places even have to refuse to accept guests because of too many. According to records, the revenue of many shops on the first day of the holiday increased by 3-4 times compared to normal days.

Ms. Thanh Hong - the owner of a restaurant in District 1, said: "I have prepared ingredients that are double the usual days before the festival, but it is still not possible because customers come continuously. Sometimes I have to refuse to accept more customers because there are no empty tables".
Not only Ho Chi Minh City residents, many tourists from neighboring provinces and cities also flocked to the city to enjoy the atmosphere of the April 30 grand festival. "We went from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to play. Although crowded, it is very fun, the food is delicious and the prices are still stable" - Mr. Quoc Thinh, a tourist shared.

With the holiday lasting until May 1, the number of visitors to central areas and entertainment spots is expected to continue to increase. Shopping malls are also preparing plans to increase staff shifts to better serve in the following peak days.
Ho Chi Minh City continues to affirm itself as an attractive destination for every holiday, not only because of its diverse cultural and entertainment activities, but also because of its rich, vibrant cuisine, imbued with the typical urban identity.
