Deep condolences at the visit
On the morning of May 24, at T50 Guest House (Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command, Quang Ngai City), one of three locations for the visit to former President Tran Duc Luong in his hometown, the solemn and emotional atmosphere surrounded him. From early on, the crowd lined up, quietly entering the campus, carrying wreaths, incense and respectfully saying goodbye to the worshiping leader.
Delegations from the central to local levels, from all walks of life, from revolutionary cadres to ordinary people, were present to express deep condolences to the former President. Everyone's face clearly shows their emotions and regrets when visiting the precious son of their hometown Quang Ngai.
Mr. Cao Van Le, former Secretary of the Duc Pho District Party Committee, traveled dozens of kilometers from Duc Pho District to get to the T50 Guest House to attend the visit. Sharing with us, Mr. Le could not hide his emotions: "Comrade Tran Duc Luong is a shining example of revolutionary ethics, an outstanding son of his homeland. His passing is a huge loss for the country and the people".
Not only the delegations, but also the people of Quang Ngai City arranged their work and attended the visit with endless condolences. Many people shared that the image of former President Tran Duc Luong is always close, simple and devoted because the people have left a deep impression on their minds.
About Duc Pho, goodbye to the outstanding son
Not only in Quang Ngai City, at two other places of visit, the Duc Pho Town Cultural House and the Hall of the People's Committee of Pho Khanh Commune (Duc Pho Town), the hometown of the former President, the flow of people also extended from early morning. Not only that, many people in Quang Ngai City also plan to travel more than 50km from Quang Ngai City to Duc Pho to say goodbye to the country's outstanding son.
Ms. Tran Thi Giang, a resident of Quang Ngai City, shared: "I heard that former President Tran Duc Luong had passed away, I was very saddened. Today, I plan to go to Duc Pho to pay a visit to former President Tran Duc Luong, but knowing that Quang Ngai City will also hold a visiting ceremony, I came here to attend. He is a shining example for us to learn from".
Ms. Giang said that she herself also plans to catch a bus from Quang Ngai city to Duc Pho district to attend the funeral of former President Tran Duc Luong at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow (May 5).
According to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, the visitation ceremony in Quang Ngai took place from 7:00 a.m. on May 24 to 7:00 a.m. on May 25. The memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong was solemnly held at 7:00 a.m. on May 25 at the hall of the T50 Guest House.
