Khanh Hoa province has just issued a project to develop safe and concentrated vegetable production areas, ensuring traceability of origin associated with processing and consumption markets for the period 2024 - 2030.
According to the plan, by 2030, the province's vegetable output is expected to reach about 57,000 tons.
The main vegetable group includes stem and leaf vegetables with an output of about 22,000 tons, distributed in all regions of the province, on many different types of soil.
Fruit vegetables and legumes have an output of about 23,000 tons; concentrated in Dien Khanh district, Ninh Hoa town and scattered in other areas of the province. Root vegetables have an output of about 10,000 tons, concentrated in Van Ninh, Cam Lam districts and Ninh Hoa town, mainly in sandy areas.
For other vegetable groups including fresh edible mushrooms, the estimated output is about 2,000 tons, distributed in all regions of the province.
By 2030, the goal is to produce safe, specialized vegetable areas, concentrated in the localities of Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Cam Ranh, Dien Khanh, Cam Lam and Nha Trang.
To achieve the above goals, the locality will develop specific solutions on production organization; application of science and technology; consumption market; mechanisms and policies to support safe vegetable production; management and supervision of origin, provenance and quality of vegetable products; diversifying investment capital sources to develop vegetable production in the direction of socialization, mainly capital from enterprises and people...
It is known that in 2023, the production area of vegetables and beans in Khanh Hoa province will reach 4,044.38 hectares, vegetable yield will reach 11.41 tons/ha, output will be 46,164.38 tons. The largest vegetable consumption market in the province is at traditional markets.
