On October 27, the Tax Directorate announced that it had just issued Notice No. 1021/TB-TCT.
In particular, the Tax Directorate requires heads of units in the entire Tax sector to continue to strengthen discipline and administrative discipline in performing official duties; rotate, transfer and change work positions; control the power and responsibility of leaders in personnel management, responsibility to set an example; fight against the abuse of power and position and prevent corruption according to the provisions of the directive documents of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Directorate.
Tax authorities at all levels need to strengthen financial discipline and order, promote the application of digital transformation, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state budget revenue and expenditure management; ensure correct, full and timely collection, expand the collection base and prevent tax losses, especially for food and beverage business services, restaurants, e-commerce, and business on cross-border platforms.
Urgently carry out revenue collection tasks in the last months of the year, striving to exceed the state budget estimate in 2024.
The Tax Directorate also requested to continue to seriously implement the contents of Official Dispatch No. 365/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on reviewing and promptly handling recommendations and proposals of localities, ministries and branches, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of direction and administration.
Accordingly, when receiving recommendations from businesses, taxpayers, agencies, units, etc., units must submit advice to the Tax Directorate, clearly stating the Tax sector's viewpoint on the recommendation.
“Absolutely do not give general answers, do not let them linger or exceed the deadline; review, urge and rectify the handling of administrative procedure settlement files, respond to feedback and recommendations; strictly implement the reception, processing, settlement and return of administrative procedure results in accordance with regulations” - Notice No. 1021/TB-TCT emphasized the requirement.
In addition, the Tax Directorate recommends that units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, continue to deploy and improve the effectiveness of propaganda work, ensuring focus and key points.
In particular, focusing on disseminating new tax policies, such as reducing registration tax on domestically produced cars in the last 3 months of the year; tax management of e-commerce activities; projects on the Law on Value Added Tax (amended); Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended); amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Tax Administration....
Regarding the inspection and examination of tax law implementation, the Tax Directorate requires tax authorities at all levels to focus on implementing the 2024 inspection and examination plan; effectively develop and implement inspection and examination work according to thematic areas to prevent revenue loss in areas with high tax risks.
